I’m real excited to be performing on the VIA Rail train from Vancouver to Toronto this September
as part of VIA rail’s “On board entertainment” program. I’ll be playing 3 sets a day on the train, and a couple of performances in train stations en-route. Departing from Vancouver September 15.
Then a few shows in Southern Ontario before flying home.

I’ll be playing a showcase at the Vancouver Island Music business conference next Friday, May 17 at the Whistle stop Pub in Courtenay. 7:30 pm.

Kaia Nielsen and Mark Lebbell like to call their music Canadicana, drawing inspiration from non-traditional roots cover tunes. Their repertoire includes tales of trucks and trains, love lost and found, bears and leaf blowers, all held together with little bits of string. Together with Ken Dalgeish and Graham Walker, they make up the Bigger Bits of String Band, and always deliver an evening of harmony, humour and hipshaking grooves.
